Illuminate Light Parade & Santa's Arrival
Illuminate Canandaigua Light Parade with Santa’s arrival at Commons Park and the Tree-lighting Ceremony all beginning at 6:00 PM.
Kick off the holiday season with a dazzling display of holiday lights as Downtown Canandaigua Illuminates the night. Enjoy a spectacular procession of illuminated floats, fire trucks, antique cars, and local organizations. The parade begins at City Hall bringing Santa, his elves, and loads of holiday cheer. The traditional Tree Lighting Ceremony will immediately follow the parade at the Commons Park. Enjoy caroling, food, and fun as we Light Up Canandaigua!

Our local breweries will light up the holidays with a Keg Tree Lighting at each of their locations at varying times! Also, join us at the Commons Park for this special musical celebration of festive holiday favorites beautifully performed by euphonium, tuba, sousaphone and baritone players.

Fire & Ice Festival
A Forbes-rated top winter festival, the Fire & Ice Winter Festival in Downtown Canandaigua will melt away your winter blues. Enjoy a unique winter experience with food, festivities & family fun! Ice sculpting & speed carving competitions, fire shows, Siberian husky dog sled team, winter character meet and greets, Chef Challenges, horse-drawn wagon rides, a warm beverage trail & more!
This year will feature candle-making and glass flaming, a fireman experience, a passport experience to WIN over $1,000 in gift certificates, fire shows, stilt walkers, and up-close encounters with winter animals. In addition, we will also have the kick-off to FLX Winter Wonderland Photography Competition.
